If your favorite thing suddenly vanished, you would probably want answers too. Louis, a Hungarian Vizsla, certainly did, after his favorite ball went missing during an outing. He searched the creek, raced through the woods, and even recruited another dog to help with the investigation. His owner, meanwhile, seemed far less optimistic about the ball’s chances of turning up.
Dog refuses to give up searching after owner says his ball is gone
Louis apparently had plenty to say after losing his favorite ball during an outing by a creek. A video shared on @louisthehungarianvizsla captures the dog frantically searching through the water while his owner films the increasingly dramatic investigation.
At first, Louis appears focused on finding the missing toy as he searches around the creek. His owner can be heard asking him where the ball is, but there is no sign of it. Rather than accepting defeat, Louis runs through the nearby woods, seemingly overwhelmed by the situation.
He eventually races back to his owner and looks at her as if expecting her to solve the problem. However, she repeatedly tells him that the ball is gone. That does little to convince the determined Vizsla, who heads straight back toward the creek and resumes searching.
When his own efforts fail to produce results, Louis appears to decide that he needs some assistance. That is when Vinnie joins the search, giving Louis an extra set of paws for the investigation. The two dogs energetically comb through the creek together, checking the water and surrounding area for any sign of the treasured toy. Despite their combined efforts, however, the ball remains missing.
Louis once again turns to his owner, seemingly looking for an answer. She can only tell him that she cannot help and that the ball is gone. Still unwilling to accept the situation, he takes off running through the woods again.
This time, his frustration appears even more obvious. Louis barks while running around, with the video jokingly describing his vocalizations as “profanities in dog language.” The post’s caption summed up the chaotic search perfectly, reading, “Strap yourself in, the drama in this video is ridiculous.”
