Dylan seems to have very different ideas about what Mom should be doing at her at-home work desk. Indulge him with head scratches, of course. The problem starts when Mom puts her hand back on the keyboard, leaving Dylan staring up at her as though the petting session ended without his approval. In the video shared by @dylan.greatlabernese, he follows her hand with his nose, waits for her to change her mind, and eventually puts his paw on the armrest for emphasis. This mixed-breed dog demands head scratches with remarkable patience, but the look on his face says he has questions about mom’s priorities.
Dog gives owner a betrayed look and paws her hand when head scratches stop
Dylan does not seem to understand why a perfectly good petting session has an expiration time. Mom is sitting at her desk, working while Dylan enjoys some head scratches beside her. For a little while, everything is going exactly as he would like. Then her hand returns to the keyboard, and Dylan immediately notices.
He follows her hand with his snout, nudging it as though he might convince her to bring it back. When that does not work, he looks up at Mom with a pair of extremely hopeful eyes. This dog demands head scratches, and he is not being particularly subtle about it.
Dylan keeps staring at her for a few seconds, seemingly waiting for a repeat. He even rests his chin on the armrest of the chair, staying close while Mom continues working. Still no scratches, so Dylan tries a different approach.
He lifts one paw and places it gently on the armrest, quietly asking for the attention to resume. It’s nothing dramatic, but it works! Mom returns her hand to Dylan’s head, and he immediately starts smacking his lips as the scratches resume. That little reaction makes it pretty clear that this was exactly the outcome he had been hoping for.
The clip has earned 15,600 likes, and viewers had a lot to say about it. One person focused on “those eyes,” while another called him a “Precious needy baby” and “such a little lovebug.” Someone else had a more drastic solution: “Log off for the rest of the day. Immediately.”
