Every little sibling has someone to look up to, and this tiny human seems to have chosen a rather furry role model. Boba, an Australian Shepherd, has apparently become her source of guidance on some very important matters, including couch scratching, chewing, and maximizing nap time. A video shared by @avangansen captures the pair side by side as their similarities unfold. And judging by what Boba has taught her, she is getting quite the education.
Dog accidentally teaches his tiny human sibling a few things he knows
A video shared by @avangansen captures Boba and his tiny human sister in a series of side-by-side moments. The clip opens with the two sitting next to each other as text on screen reads, “When you learn from your big brother (who’s a dog)…” It then runs through several things the siblings apparently have in common.
The first lesson is that “the couch is for scratching.” Boba is seen scratching at the couch before the video cuts to his baby sister doing the same thing. While the youngster may not have intentionally copied him, the similarity makes the moment particularly funny.
Next up is “Ball is life.” When their mom offers them a ball, both Boba and the baby take it into their mouths in a remarkably similar fashion. The comparison makes it look as though Boba has managed to introduce his favorite game to his little sister.
The pair also seem to share the same approach to resting. Under the caption “Big zoomies, bigger snoozies,” Boba and the baby are both shown fast asleep at home. After all that activity, neither sibling appears to need much encouragement to settle down for a nap.
Their next shared trick involves a cardboard box. “If you fits, you sits,” the video declares, showing Boba and the baby comfortably sitting inside a box despite it not exactly being designed as a seat. Of course, the video also points out one behavior that dogs and babies seem to have mastered independently. Boba is shown gnawing on a bone, while his little sister has a set of cards in her mouth.
The video ends with the siblings side by side once again. It is accompanied by the message, “The best big brother I could ever wish for.” Meanwhile, the caption calls Boba “the best big brother” and jokes that the baby’s “biggest influence” happens to “have four paws.”
