You can hardly blame Drake for struggling to leave when his favorite little humans are still awake. The Labrador mix has become a regular visitor at his neighbors’ home, where he loves spending time with the children. On this particular evening, he stopped by for his usual goodnight visit, but the plan quickly went off script. Instead of heading home, Drake climbed onto the bed and started playfully wrestling with one of the toddlers.
The pup’s bedtime visit turns into an impromptu play session with the children
A video shared by @ivyonnacorinne captures another one of Drake’s visits to the home of his favorite neighbors. According to the family’s posts, Drake has become a familiar presence around the house. Several videos on the page show the friendly pup making himself comfortable with the family. This latest clip suggests that his routine may now include a nightly check-in.
The video shows Drake stopping by to say goodnight to the boys, although he appears to have a little trouble actually leaving. Rather than quietly heading home, the Labrador mix ends up roughhousing with one of the toddlers in bed.
The child and Drake playfully wrestle as the family settles down for the evening. The toddler can be seen enjoying the interaction, while Drake seems just as happy to have some extra playtime before bedtime.
What was supposed to be a quick goodnight visit quickly turns into another chance for the pair to spend time together. The caption jokingly summed up Drake’s apparent new responsibility. “At this point I think he’s officially added ‘tuck the boys in’ to his nightly routine,” it read.
Judging by the family’s other posts, this does not appear to be a one-time occurrence. Drake has seemingly developed a special relationship with the children, and his frequent visits have made him something of an honorary member of the household. At this point, it may be difficult to tell whether Drake is visiting the family or simply checking in on his second home.
