When your dog is unhappy with you, you usually expect a little sulking or a dramatic sigh. Comet, however, had something much bigger in mind after her mom and dad apparently “crossed a line.” The Golden Retriever sat on the couch and proceeded to voice her frustrations directly to her mom. And no, she was not going to accept a quick apology and call it a day.

A video shared by @peachycomet22 shows Comet sitting on the couch with her mom, who attempts to figure out why the dog is seemingly upset. The conversation quickly turns into something resembling a complaint session, with Comet responding to her mom’s questions through low growls and tooth clacks.
Mom begins by asking Comet whether she is mad at her and Dad. The Golden Retriever continues to vocalize, appearing to have plenty to say about the situation. Mom then starts guessing what could have caused the problem, asking whether they left Comet alone for too long or if they were late for dinner.
Neither possibility seems to satisfy the pup, judging by her continued response. Comet remains seated on the couch as her mom keeps trying to get an answer from her. At one point, the Golden Retriever gives her mom a very deliberate side eye, making her displeasure look even more obvious.
Dad, meanwhile, is sitting on the other side of the couch and appears to be enjoying the unusual conversation. While Mom is doing her best to understand what went wrong, Dad watches as Comet continues making her case.
Mom eventually apologizes to Comet, but the apology does not appear to end the disagreement. Instead, the Golden girl throws her paws into the air, almost as if she is rejecting the attempt to make peace. Mom then tells Comet to go give her dad a kiss, perhaps hoping that some affection might help smooth things over.
Comet does turn toward her dad, but she does not actually give him the requested kiss. She continues to look upset, suggesting that whatever her parents did was not something she was going to forgive immediately. By the end of the clip, Comet still appears unconvinced that her parents have adequately addressed the situation.
The post’s caption, “Mom and dad crossed a line,” offered little explanation about what had happened but perfectly matched Comet’s reaction. Viewers were amused by how expressive the dog was throughout the exchange. One commenter wrote, “That side eye is powerful,” while another said, “So much to say.” A third person exclaimed, “Your dog can talk!!!!!!
