It only took one little tumble for playtime to turn into a wellness check. One second, a tiny dog was racing after a giggling toddler across the backyard. The next, he had forgotten all about the game and hurried back to make sure she was okay, complete with plenty of kisses. Posted by @lenniethecavapooo, the sweet clip is all about a friendship that feels oddly equal. Considering Lennie is only a five-month-old Cavapoo, he seems to have picked up the important stuff surprisingly quickly.

The video begins with the toddler happily running around the yard while Lennie dashes after her as fast as his little legs can carry him. The on-screen text jokes, “When you finally meet a human your size” as the two zoom around together.
Just as Lennie catches up, the little girl loses her balance and falls back gently on the ground. The puppy, who was looking at her, immediately spins around. He gives one excited hop before trotting straight back to her, tail wagging very hard.
Then, in the sweetest gesture, Lennie walks right up to the toddler’s face. He checks on her and then gives her a few gentle licks. Apparently that wasn’t enough reassurance, because he circles around behind her, stretches onto his hind legs, and plants a few more kisses on the back of her head, making absolutely sure she’s feeling better.
The pair already seem perfectly matched, with the same playful energy and curiosity keeping them busy from one minute to the next.
The adorable clip has already picked up more than 7,900 likes, and viewers can’t seem to get enough of the pair. One commenter called them “best friends forever and ever,” while another wrote, “Their bond is everything!”
