As we see and learn from the clip, Milkshake is naturally fidgety if she isn’t right in the middle of the action. She stares intently at her human and the camera until she can get as close to the baby as possible. This breed is famous for having a “nanny dog” instinct, which makes them incredibly protective of children.
James and Leah said they knew her love for the baby right away. The video shows her watching the newborn sleep in her bassinet when they first got her home. Milkshake’s expression is a mix of awe and wonder. In another shot, she even takes quiet and deliberate steps on the bed to get close to the baby who is sleeping on mom’s chest.
