With help from his dad and a car full of outfits, Soffle appears at different points along the course to cheer her on.
Labrador supports mom at marathon with fun outfit changes
The video begins at the front door, where Soffle wishes his mom good luck before she heads out. Once she starts the race, his support mission begins. His dad drives him to the one-kilometer mark, where Soffle waits wearing a Welsh bandana. His mom spots him and stops briefly to pat him before continuing the race. They then head back to the car to reach the next checkpoint. At the four-kilometer mark, Soffle wears a propeller hat. By kilometer seven, he has changed into a shark costume.
At the nine-kilometer mark, the camera only briefly captures Soffle wearing a fuzzy bear onesie. By kilometer 13, the Labrador has changed into a dinosaur onesie and runs alongside his mom for a short distance.
Around the 15-kilometer mark, the runner begins experiencing hip pain. Soffle waits nearby, wearing a bright yellow dinosaur raincoat as she continues. The pain worsens around the 17.5-kilometer mark, and she ultimately stops running. They then return home together, where she becomes emotional while walking with her dog. Throughout the moment, Soffle remains by her side.
The adorable video of the Labrador and mom quickly pulled in over 3.9k likes in just twelve hours. Commenters are completely flooding the page with massive waves of encouragement for mom. One viewer told her to rest up and try again because the costumes are just too cute.
